“I am an abstract painter; I throw fingerpaint and tempera on canvas. I fill my hands til overflowing with paint, and throw with my whole being, with whatever is in my head and on my heart. The paint comes to life in my hands; a salve for all wounds. Paintthrowing began as a desperate reaction to my daughter’s addiction. It was the space wherein I caught my breath and found hope, but it has become my strength and my voice, my passion and joy.”
Kit Casey’s paintings have been described as “rich in color and move the eye. Their abstract beauty is calming, healing, and often resemble flowers. Her colors that play and dance, very simply, make people happy.”
