Friedhard will have a one-person exhibition with 108 of his paintings shown at “Altes Amtshaus” in Bad Neustadt. It will include his acrylic paintings using his racel technique and his needle technique and his watercolors. The exhibition will run July 14-23, 2017. In October, 2017 he will be participating in the “Transitory Art and Materials with USIA / MODERN” in Doha, Katar with two large paintings titled “Summertime” and “Terrasses”.
Darlene Kaplan has 3 oriental brush paintings hanging in Gaithersburg, MD at the Chinese Cultural Center until March 31, 2017. This is a group Juried National art exhibition. Her work is included in a group exhibition at Green Spring Garden, in Alexandria, VA, until April 17, 2017.. This exhibition takes place during the Japanese Cherry Blossom Festival each year.
Alex was invited by the Downing-Gross Cultural Arts Center in Newport News, VA, to participate in the exhibition titled “Ella 100”. She was asked to pick an Ella Fitzgerald song and match her work to the title of the song. She chose Ella’s song “Come Rain or Come Shine” and it will accompany her painting titled “Golden Rain”, shown above. The exhibition is two months long and will then travel to Germany, France, Japan, and China.
Ron was contacted by the Downing-Gross Cultural Arts Center in Newport News, VA, to participate in an upcoming exhibition titled “Ella 100” to celebrate the 100th birthday of Ella Fitzgerald. When asked to pick an Ella Fitzgerald song to match with his artwork he selected the song “It is Only A Paper Moon”. It will be matched with his photograph “Ethereal”.
Chantal was invited to exhibit in the “Women in Art 2017” exhibition, March 1-March 15, curated by Leda Maria Prado and hosted by the Ward Nasse Gallery in Soho, NYC, NY. About this exhibition Chantal states, “Although, this venue provides a platform for women artists who remain underrepresented in museums and galleries, it is so much more to me. It is a platform for feminine energy.”
A solo exhibition of 18 paintings and 15 works on paper from her Divine Alignment series is taking place at Radley Run Country Club, West Chester, PA trough Sunday, April 2. The show also includes selected pieces from her Succulents series. During its run, a two-day multiple artist show to benefit the Chester County Art Association will be held.
Within the past week sculptor Bren Sibilsky was featured in two online publications announcing her participation as a juror in the Manhattan Arts International “HERStory” exhibition. One article appeared in the Greenbay Press-Gaxette, which is part of the USA TODAY NETWORK in Wisconsin and she was featured in The Door County Pulse.
She was quoted as saying, “this is the perfect time in history to celebrate the sculptural genius of women. Now, more than ever, we are seeing some super-talented women in sculpture…”
