Rajul Shah Creates Meditative and Empowering “Renewal” Paintings

By Renee Phillips Leave a Comment

Rajul Shah is a versatile abstract color field artist renowned for her ability to reinterpret spiritual spheres of knowledge and manifest them into innovative contemporary artistic expressions. Her healing art immediately arouses a transcendent experience for the viewer. She offers us a meditative journey toward personal growth and transformation.

Rajul’s inspirational “Renewal” series integrates symbolic elements from Kintsugi and Chakras and her significant titles serve as messages that reflect her purposeful intentions. Shown here are: “Courage”, “Re-Union” and “Emergence”.

Harmony and balance permeate Rajul’s compositions as we traverse her impactful energy fields. Within an expansive vista we encounter an exquisite panoply of subtle painterly textures, horizontal and vertical patterns, and layers of spatial dimensions.

Rajul is endowed with a proficient use of color as a creative healing modality. Her palette represents her extensive knowledge of Chakras (the 7 body’s energy centers) and their spiritual and healing modalities. She selects specific hues to evoke visceral responses. As an example, her emotive painting “Courage”, shown above, is a powerful fusion of the two complementary colors violet (crown chakra, that is associated with enlightenment) and yellow (solar plexus chakra, that is associated with self-esteem).

An integral spiritual element throughout Rajul’s “Renewal” paintings is her application of lines accentuated with 23kt gold leaf. These striking features originate from the philosophy of Kinsugi, an ancient technique that exposes the cracks that occur in used in broken pottery rather than hides them.

Rajul employs these intrinsic symbolic qualities as creative catalysts to remind us to accept our vulnerability and imperfections, tolerate those qualities in others, and perceive anything that may seem broken in all aspects of life with an enlightened perspective.

Rajul provides us with a profound realization of fragility and impermanence and much more. Imbued with spiritual insight she says it best: “Our scars do not define us; they become a canvas for rejuvenation, renewal, and an evolution into enhanced versions of ourselves, fortified with newfound strength and purpose.”

As a healing artist Rajul expands our conscious awareness. Her life-affirming paintings illuminate the path forward for us to live fully with love, reparation, acceptance, and unification.
