“Autumn” Art by Artist Members and Artists from Art History

By Renee Phillips Leave a Comment

“Winter is an etching, spring a watercolor, summer an oil painting, and autumn a mosaic of them all.” ~  Stanley Horowitz

Many artists and art enthusiasts would heartfully agree. For nature-inspired artists the fall season offers a diverse cornucopia of colors and textures to stimulate the creative imagination. For your pleasure, The Healing Power of ART & ARTISTS presents “Autumn” Art by Artist Members. This was originally published on August 31, 2020 with several recent additions.

Light a scented candle, pour yourself a mug of hot cider, and grab a spicy cookie or two, and immerse yourself in this inspirational colorful display of art and statements. In a variety of styles and mediums, these extraordinary artist members celebrate this season’s natural beauty and express how it inspires them. Below the Art by Artist Members I added art by a few artists from Art History.

“Autumn returns gently on the southern part of Vancouver Island. Each year seasonal rains refill Bilston Creek remaking the Sitting Lady waterfalls. The local big leaf Maples turn brilliant yellow adding drama to the waterscape. This artwork captures my pleasure of visiting this spiritual site.”

“I love Colorado in the fall. It is a beautiful time of the year with the air so crisp and sun so bright. The aspen are aglow with colors of autumn. It is magical to drive or walk thru a grove of aspen. I am so thankful to be able to paint aspen and try and capture their light and color.”

“My art comes from a place where I grew up. We had fields behind the house and then 2-3 miles of woods. I was immersed with nature there. I played in the woods, streams, and brooks. It was a place of inner healing and a kinship with a higher power that kept me grounded.”
