Special Recognition Award-Winning Artist in Our “Art Inspired by Nature” 2026 Exhibition
It is an honor to have selected Jodie Brenner to receive a “Special Recognition Art Award” and have inducted her into our series of “World Changers”.
Jodie Brenner submitted her outstanding paintings of horses to be considered for our “Art Inspired by Nature” 2026 exhibition. Jodie has a masterful artistic talent for capturing her subjects and her vast portfolio exudes the soulful, intimate connection she has with them.
Jodie’s dedication to raising our awareness about wild mares goes beyond capturing their physical beauty. She expands our understanding about their innate qualities and the challenges they face. Through her ongoing Wild Mare Series and Wild Mare Post, Jodie shares the untold stories of wild mares, honoring their strength, resilience, and deep family bonds while exploring the healing power of art and horses. Her work also brings greater awareness to the challenges wild horses face and supports organizations dedicated to their care and protection.

When Jodie submitted “Sakari” to the “Art Inspired by Nature” exhibition she informed us: “It was born from this healing path—a body of work intended to illuminate the profound connection and healing presence horses offer. And to shine a light on the Wild Mares and their family bonds both in the wild and in captivity. As sentient beings, they invite us into peace, presence, and heart-centered awareness — something which can be felt through art.”
About her painting “Ute & Button” Jodie explains “’Ute and Button’ from Little Book Cliffs Wild Horse Range in Grand Junction, Colorado are part of my ongoing ‘Wild Mare’ Series. Their story is of survival, loss, and resilience. Beautiful Ute died during a roundup, her young foal, Button, escaped and was adopted into another family band and is wild and free today. Through watercolor, I tell their story and wish to bring awareness to what they endure. I want their presence to be felt and their stories remembered.”
Jodie’s heartfelt desire is “to honor and illuminate the horse as a source of inspiration, hope, love, and light”. She invites us to open our hearts and connect with these extraordinary animals.
She shares: “Throughout my life, horses have shaped who I am—not only as heart-mates, but as teachers, healers, and beings of wisdom and inspiration. In my younger years, they carried me through the forests of Pennsylvania, sharing the profound connection between humans, animals, and nature.”
Jodie has spent over 10 years as a caretaker and ranch manager for horse ranches and rescues. She explains, “I’ve cared for blind horses, retired ranch horses, performance endurance and cutting horses, and mares and foals. Each experience deepened my knowing of their resilience, grace, forgiveness, loyalty, and capacity to heal human hearts.”

* Jodie is a certified Equine Facilitated Coach and Equine Bodyworker. She states: “I also weave these experiences into both my art and my work with others.”
* She is an award-winning equine artist and the illustrator of the book “Einstein—The Special Relativity of Love”.
* Jodie’s art was selected for our juried online exhibition “The Healing Power of Color”, in 2023, in which she received a Special Recognition Friend Award.
* I chose Jodie’s art for inclusion in “HerStory 2023”, juried competition and online exhibition presented on our parent website Manhattan Arts International.
* In 2023 Jodie’s art was featured in “The Healing Power of ART Inspired by NATURE”, juried competition and online exhibition.
