Artist Members Share Their Thoughts
In most instances, an artist’s physical surroundings influence the art they create. They may be inspired by the culture, climate, or people in their midst. The artist members of The Healing Power of ART & ARTISTS live in different parts of the world. We recently asked them, how does where you live impact you as an artist? How does it inspire you? I love the replies we received and I hope you enjoy learning more about these incredible artists.
The artists’ names will take you to their pages. Please visit them, then go to their websites to see more of their artwork and read more about them. Please contact the artists directly to purchase and exhibit their art. To see art by all of the members visit the the Gallery page.

“Seems the veil between the spiritual essence of our world and what we see is thinner here on the Canadian West Coast. A lot of the coast is in a near natural state which draws my soul into communion. I create from that communion.”
Mary Lou Dauray
“I live in California — the state where climate change has severely destroyed some of our landscapes by wildfire and drought.”

“Living a mere 60 miles from New York City allows me to involve myself in the artistic expressions of this great city. Theatrical pieces, museum exhibitions, musical concerts, dance recitals, academic lectures, extemporaneous street exhibits-recitals, parks, zoos, high-rise buildings, crowded streets all excite and spark the creative impulse to document the beauty of the life around me. Living outside the city in the Hudson Valley gives me time to breathe and cherish the peace and calm of the countryside and pay attention to the wildlife that frequent my backyard.”
