About Monique J. Dufour: Monique J. Dufour is an extraordinary expressive abstract painter known for creating “Healing Art”. She has received several honors and accolades for her art and her collectors span the globe.
Monique paints intuitively with unbridled spontaneity from the heart and enjoys creating customized paintings for her clients that provide personalized healing energies for them.

Monique began painting in 2013 after returning from a trip to the South of France. In November 2018 she relocated from Canada and is now living in Orba, Spain. After a lifetime in the corporate world she pursued her art career with passion and love, embracing new challenges and spiritual growth. She exudes, “It is indeed a journey and I have chosen to share it through my art.”
Monique is a member of the Marina Alta Art Society in Spain.
Monique’s many exhibitions include: Solo shows at Beach House, Torrevieja, Spain; La Macina di san Cresci, Tuscany, Italy; and Hall of Art, Feltmate, Delibato & Heagle, Burlington, Ontario, Canada; among others. Her several group juried exhibitions were those held at Galerie Sonia Monti, Paris France, Art Gallery of Burlington, Ontario, Canada,Joshua Creek Heritage Art Centre, Oakville Ontario, and many more.
She was also selected for more than 35 online juried exhibitions since 2022, many of which have included awards. She also participated in several Charity Art Auctions in Canada. She also exhibited at the “San Francisco Art Fair” 2023.
Her works are currently available at Art Majeur, Singulart, Saatchi Art, Artsy and ArtRewards.
Monique and her art is featured in the book “2024 Publication – Artistic Journey Vol 16 – La Macina de San Cresci”.
One of Monique’s paintings “Coral in the Turquoise Drifts”, shown above, was selected for our exhibition “The Healing Power of Color” 2026. Her art was also curated into “The Healing Power of Art: Love, Peace, Unity & Hope” and The Healing Power of Elements: Earth, Water, Air & Fire”.
Monique’s art was selected for the “Art Inspired by Nature” 2025 Invitational Exhibition, November 1, 2025-Nanuary 1, 2026 and was shown in “The Healing Power of Color 2024”.
Her art was featured on the Manhattan Arts International website in the “HerStory” 2024 Invitational Exhibition and the “HerStory” 2023 juried exhibition.
Monique has received many honors and distinctions. Her painting “Dawn” was featured in the “Pantone Colors of the Year: Rose Quartz and Serenity Collection” on the renowned Saatchi Art’s homepage. Her art has been selected several times to be included in Singulart’s Featured Collections. In addition, she is the recipient of Artist Residencies in Italy.

I seek primarily to move others through my artistic practice. I paint in a trance like state, not knowing what the creation will be or who it will be for.”

The color purple is associated with poetry, love, romance, and peace and is connected to all things related to the spiritual realm. The color is used in healing for its soothing properties. The color purple also symbolizes the state of selflessness as it represents oneness with the universe.
Monique J. DuFour’s Artist’s Statement: “I am an intuitive self-taught painter. I paint with music and music paints through me, orchestrating a symphony of colors, movements, energies, and vibrations. Life and music and colors are my sources of inspiration, and my paintings are a journey for both the artist and the viewer. I identify myself as painting from the inside out. When I paint, I am drawn to select a palette of colours, and spiritual source and energy guide my hands and creates all that is beautiful from and for the soul, which frequently provides a healing energy and vibration, that lingers with the artwork.”
