About Thérèse Boisclair: Therese is inspired by nature. She has technical prowess in different mediums and currently enjoys combining acrylic paint with tissue paper. Her richly tactile mixed media works of art convey the innate qualities we discover in the natural world emphasizing her distinctive, illuminating, abstract style.

Therese’s artwork has been featured in many exhibitions in Canada, Europe, and the U.S. In 2026 her artwork was invited to be on view in the George Gallery in Vancouver, Canada.

About her portfolio titled “Seeking the Light” Therese states, “For me, light is the ultimatum form of Hope. The light is such an important aspect of life. To reach for the light is like reaching for the Divine.”
Her current focus is creating innovative mixed media paintings. She explains, “The textures, bold colors, light and transparency continue to fascinate me.”

About the color Therese wrote “It’s fascinating how colors can carry such symbolic weight and contribute to our emotional experiences. The richness of purple indeed invites a connection with the intangible, encouraging contemplation and a sense of wonder. Purple calls for your heart to reach out to Spirit and join forces to bring peace, mystery, and magic. The calming and soothing nature of purple can bring a sense of tranquility and balance to both the mind and the environment.”

Her art has been selected for exhibitions on this website including “Inspirational Art in Mixed Media”, “Honor, Remembrance, Gratitude and Hope for Peace Expressed in Art”, ” and “Autumn”: Art by Artist Members and Artists from Art History.
In 2025 Therese’s art was selected for the Manhattan Arts International “HerStory” Exhibition. Her painting “Stormy Night”, shown below, was selected for the Manhattan Arts International “Love, Peace, Unity & Hope” 2025 Invitational Exhibition. She was also included in “Art Inspired by Nature” 2025, presented on this website.

Therese is the recipient of numerous art awards in both national and international exhibitions including a Best of Show in Ferrara, Italy. In September 2022, she was chosen for an artist residency in Nice, France by the Monteoliveto Gallery based in Nice and Naples, Italy.
Therese was featured in the Studio Visit Magazine in their Legacy Edition in March 2025.

In addition to being a member of The Healing Power of ART & ARTISTS Online Gallery Therese is a member of several associations in Canada.
Artist’s Statement:
My art portrays emotional “places” that are loosely based on the idea of a landscape. It is about emotion, about reaching deep down and touching the soul through a choreographed dance of color and light of acrylic and tissue paper.
Interesting Facts About Thérèse Boisclair:
Tanis enjoys outdoor life, in nature. She states, “To be outside where I can enjoy the sun on my skin and commute with nature is where I really feel alive.”
Therese recently told us “2026 will be a year of reflection and realignment for me. Apart from gallery invitations, I intend to concentrate in working in my studio and experiment with wet tissue paper which opens a world of possibilities work with tissue paper. I will continue to be very active in the Art Hub Gallery, a local co-op gallery in Carleton Place, Ontario.”
