A Sublime, Spiritual Experience for Viewers

Alison Thomas creates nature-inspired “Serenity Scenes” that deliver a sublime, spiritual experience for viewers. She shares her profound lifelong reverence and connection with nature, her sensitivity, and talent to express its myriad healing qualities.

In the presence of Alison’s works of art, we immediately enter a realm of resplendence. Her breathtaking scenes are bathed in a radiant glow that evokes a palpable panacea. As she lifts us into the magical splendor of the natural world any feelings of worry or chaos disappear. We are lulled into a blissful and euphoric state of mind.

Shown here is art from Alison’s “Vertical Panoramas”. They are available as single images or in groupings as you see here. Alison also creates “Horizontal Panoramas”.

“Blues and Oranges”, Blue Fog, Last Leaves, and Dancing in the Light, digitally modified photographs, each 8.5″ x 35″.
“Blues and Oranges” series: “Blue Fog”, “Last Leaves”, and “Dancing in the Light”, digitally modified photographs, two different sizes available in print only or framed.

Alison creates her captivating artwork with a proficiency in photography and digital art. Her images are imbued with luminosity, dramatic spatial depth, and gentle fluidity. She enlivens her harmonious compositions with exquisite painterly, ethereal atmospheric effects, and tactile details that we may otherwise overlook. These attributes provide us with a meditative and cathartic experience.

The slender format of Alison’s “Vertical Panoramas”, as shown here, emphasizes the magnificent height and stature of her tree scenes.

Her versatile and inspirational repertoire includes such natural elements as spectacular forests, congenial paths, cleansing streams, expansive skies, and undulating hills.

Three "Forest Path" photographs by Alison Thomas
“Forest Path” series: “Country Road Orange”, “Dirt Road”, and “Yellow Path”, digitally modified photographs,  two different sizes available in print only or framed.

A poetic sensibility permeates Alison’s images, and we observe many symbolic and personified references. Mighty and majestic trees stand tall and proclaim a steadfast divine presence as their limbs reach toward the heavenly skies. They symbolize resilience, fortitude, and triumph and provide the hope, solace, and personal strength we crave.

The three metaphorical “Forest Path” photographs shown above convey a sense of wonder, quietude, and mystery. They spark anticipation and curiosity. We are lured into embarking on a contemplative visual and visceral journey where new discoveries and experiences await.

“Thin Trees” series: Fall Glass, Young Orange, and Early Morning Fog, digitally modified photographs, each 8.5″ x 35″.
“Thin Trees” series: “Fall Glass”, “Young Orange”, and “Early Morning Fog”, digitally modified photographs, two different sizes available in print only or framed.

Alison depicts the awe-inspiring transformation of trees through the seasons. We are captivated by their aging process and spirit of renewal.

Alison’s “Serenity Scenes” are printed on heavy archival fine art paper with long lasting pigment ink for maximum longevity and colorfastness.

Importantly, Alison presents her nature scenes as if they are pristine, undisturbed by human destruction. She reminds us how important it is to respect and preserve our natural resources and protect the environment. Her artistic contributions are invaluable.

Foggy Scenes Grouping
“Foggy Scenes Grouping”: “A Walk in the Fog”, “Purple Fog” and “Uncertain Path”, digitally modified photographs, different sizes are available.

The dreamlike photographs in the “Foggy Scenes Grouping” satiate our longing for inner peace and restoration, while suggesting a sense of mystery and the intrigue of existence above and beyond us. The moist atmospheric sensation permeates and nourishes the earth. We also imagine the mist gently caressing our body and mind like a healing balm that soothes all of our aches and pains.

Yellowstone Canyon Grouping by Alison Thomas
“Yellowstone Canyon Grouping”: “Edge Tree”, “Artist Point”, and “Canyon Trees”, digitally modified photographs, different sizes are available.

These exhilarating photographs in the “Yellowstone Canyon Grouping” capture the feeling of physically climbing the mountainous terrain or viewing the scenes from an airborne position. The gorgeous, gentle shifts of light and shadow resemble the fluidity of a watercolor painting. As with all of her photographs Alison skillfully enlivens her scenes with an adept understanding of how sunlight impacts nature’s contrasting elements, textures and spatial depth.

The unlimited versatility of healing, creative expression in Alison’s portfolio never ceases to amaze viewers and her collectors.
