Inspirational Art in Mixed Media Exhibition

The “Inspirational Art in Mixed Media” Exhibition
54 Artists
September 20 – November 20, 2021

Scroll down to view a selection of art from the exhibition.

The Purpose of “Inspirational Art in Mixed Media”
* To present a diverse spectrum of excellent artistic expressions in Mixed Media
* To increase awareness and understanding of Mixed Media art
* To expand an appreciation for the Mixed Media artists’ creative use of art materials
* To give extraordinary Mixed Media artists the international online and social media exposure, publicity and promotion they deserve, and enhance their professional resumes.

The Curatorial Process: Extraordinary artists from around the world submitted JPEG entries of their artwork in Mixed Media along with their written statements that describe the materials they love to use and how and why they use them. The curatorial process was extremely challenging and immensely satisfying. The judging criteria included the power of the art to connect with the viewer, creative originality, technical skill, and artist’s statements. My final selections were made after visiting all artists’ websites. It was important to choose artists who have been committed to creating a cohesive body of artwork in Mixed Media. ~ Renée Phillips, curator, founder and director, The Healing Power of ART & ARTISTS, an initiative of Manhattan Arts International, NYC, NY

I recently learned of your websites and am thoroughly enjoying the wonderful exhibitions. Art, color, and mark-making is healing on so many different levels. I am a retired psychotherapist and full-time artist now. I look forward to applying to future shows and would like to know about your membership process and becoming a part of this art community.

I hope you enjoy exploring this site that is a treasure trove of positive art and articles. We currently have only one call for artists for an exhibition. That is “The Healing Power of Color”. This is such a wonderful exhibition of mixed media art and I would like to congratulate all of the other artists, whose beautiful art has been accepted into this inspiring exhibit. I am honored to,also, have one of my collages accepted into this venue. So, I want to say: thank you, Renee all of your hard work organizing these exhibits is very much appreciated!
I love seeing all of the art and reading others comments. As an art instructor, I find reading the artist’s comments a fabulous way of learning about how others are manipulating their techniques to create such a large variety of subject matter. Thank you ,my fellow creatives for sharing your comments! I read, enjoy, learn and then share your inspiring images & methods of creative thought with my students.

I was fascinated with the number of mediums and materials used by these very creative artists. I think this is one of the most interesting of all of your exhibitions that I have seen for several years. I am so pleased that one of my paintings was included with such an excellent group of artists. Thank you, Renee for this opportunity and other support you have given me in the past.

Bravo to you Renee Phillips and your Healing Power of ART community for presenting this outstanding exhibition. As a collector of works of art primarily in mixed media I thought my knowledge was rather extensive but I learned so much from looking at the art and reading the artists’ words. The service you provide through your online exhibitions is educational and very important in increasing art appreciation. You bring our attention to new art and artists we may not have known about before. Thank you.

Dear Mark, Thank you for your email and your comment here. I am so delighted to know that you, as a collector, acquired new knowledge from viewing this exhibition. I do my best to educate, inform and connect people to artists through these exhibitions. I hope that you have discovered some new artists here whose art you wish to purchase. Thank you also for recognizing the importance of providing the artist’s statement to accompany their work of art. That is one of my favorite features of all exhibitions I curate. Happy viewing and collecting!
