Dr. Michael Durst is A Colorful Messenger of Elation and Healing

Dr. Michael Durst is an artistic messenger of elation, hope, and wellbeing. He combines his masterful skills in color with his proficiency for conveying his love for humanity, nature, and all living creatures.  These admirable artistic and personal attributes lay the foundation for his visionary imagination to flourish.

As we enter Michael’s resplendent world of “Heartscape Paintings” we encounter a unique and diverse range of awe-inspiring subjects — from landscapes, wildlife, figures and portraits to abstractions. His dreamlike perspective and deft use of symbolism and metaphysical elements such as sacred geometry reveal a profound insight into the states of consciousness.

An extraordinary example is “Spiritual Awakening”, shown above. This transcendent painting is a quintessential expression of enlightenment. It was a pleasure to select it and feature it prominently in “The Healing Power of Resilience” juried exhibition in which he received a Special Recognition Art Award.

Michael’s capacity to express the healing power of art shines through his paintings. His joyful exuberance as an artist reminds us that life offers a wellspring of resplendent moments for us to experience fully, and celebrate with gusto and gratitude.

Shown above is his love-filled, spirit-soaring painting “The Embrace”. It was selected for “The Healing Power of Color” 2026 Online Exhibition and the Manhattan Arts International YouTube channel video.

Michael informs us “My work is specifically directed to quiet the mind by including the realism and perspective, so that the heart can be open to the emotional impact of the moment.”

As a color virtuoso who uses a highly versatile palette Michael reveals his acute sensitivity to the importance of color balance. His carefully composed canvasses exude a chromatic and tonal harmony and convey a natural fluid rhythm. In addition, his use of tactile swathes of paint and exquisite luminous glazes bring increased depth and dimension to his paintings.

Michael exlaims, “Each brushstroke is a meditation, a reminder that color itself carries energy. Inspired by the infinite palette of the natural world, I create art that transforms pain into possibility, offering viewers a pathway to renewal and connection.”

In some of Michael’s paintings we see artistic sparks reminiscent of the Impressionists Claude Monet and Vincent van Gogh. Although Michael is inspired by them, he departs from their traditional stylistic paths and imbues his art with his refreshing contemporary spirit. His distinctive voice resounds with a crescendo of animated hues, brush strokes and forms.

I agree and conqur with the beautiful review that Renee has written about Dr. G Michael Durst art. His compassion, care, and love for his fellow human, nature and the spiritual are reminiscsent throughout his work. Whether it be one of his amazing one of a kind fractals, a beautiful landscape scene or whether he captures the true loving spirit of the animal kingdom; they all exudes genius and magic. His art is a true reflection if his loving and caring spirit. An exraordinary man in so many ways. I believe that is one of the major reasons why his art will bring healing and meaning to each and every soul that ventures to marvel into his masterpieces of art.

Michael Dursts art not only captures the heart and mind, but exudes a magical display of genius, that transcends time. A mixture of the styles of Monet, Van Gogh and Vermeer with his mastery of light, coupled with his unique style of colour. This seasoned artistic genius has a talent that elivates even his works of masters to a new level. This attribute is beyond our world. He is in my opinion one of the greatest fractal impressionist of the 21st century.
