Artist Eva Breitfuß Transports Us and Expands Our Consciousness

Eva Breitfuss, known as Eva Breitfuß, is a contemporary artist whose paintings transport us on an enthralling, multi-dimensional, visceral journey of transcendent self-discovery.

A profusion of abstract styles culminates in her versatile artistic vocabulary. She eloquently orchestrates minimal and reductive imagery and open spaces as she arranges geometric shapes and detailed designs in meditative compositions. Every line, color and shape she chooses reflects a purposeful intention to communicate conceptual breadth and depth.

Her art reminds us of Kandinsky who saw the dot, or point, as an “ideally small circle”, the most basic element of painting. He wrote, “Everything starts from a dot”.

With unerring prowess, Eva lures us into spacious orbits, curvilinear forms, concentric circles, undulating waves and crossing directional lines. Her images release an exalted crescendo and emanate a profound vibrational energy.

Eva’s stylistic symbolism is reflected in elements that suggest realms related to the microcosm and macrocosm. A semblance of repetitive patterns evoke imagery associated with the mysteries of quantum physics, chemistry, biology, and astronomy. Molecular forms suggest we are witnessing the miracle of primordial particles and the process of life and matter being formed.

The healing attributes of Eva’s images induce a palpable meditative repose. Her forms, shapes and hues seem to pulsate in harmonious synchronicity with our breath and our heartbeat. Visually and mentally they exude a spatial depth that stretches into infinity.

Throughout her portfolio Eva’s use of the circle is represented as being the most peaceful shape and it represents the human soul. The circle speaks of planned order, the symbol of perfection.

Eva’s titles serve as clues, metaphors and messages. They reveal her inspiration, spiritual intentions and her desire to expand and deepen our awareness. Her art is a profound narrative expression based on her personal spiritual growth which she generously shares with us.

GRACE, acrylic and mixed media on canvas, 39'x39'

As conscious and conscientious humans we aspire to attain the power of wisdom and self-renewal and Eva Breitfuß offers us the keys that unlock that power for us to explore, discover, and evolve.

“Grace”, shown above is an ethereal, gentle whisper of a painting with a mighty message. The painting conveys the spiritual state of grace which is often perceived as a rare and precious gift from the divine.

The circular patterns represent infinity and the universal. Eva sparks a quiet tug at the heart reminding us that there is a supreme connection between each of us and something beyond conscious awareness. It may be intangible, invisible to the naked eye, yet it is supremely powerful. “Grace” may be that push we need to release negative attachments and find peace in letting go and practicing forgiveness.

LITTLE SURPRISE, acrylic on painting board, 5,9'x5,9'

Eva’s “Little Surprise” is a tiny gem of a painting that requires close proximity in order to savor every delicate portion of the spiraling form and vortex she has created.  This calming painting is a meditative reminder for us to stop, be still, and embrace the present moment and focus on rewards in life that come from the smallest signs that we often overlook.

Imagine Eva patiently and quietly taking her time to paint with the smallest brush on a board that is less than the size of our hand. Minute in physical dimensions it is enormous in its potential for us to embark on our inner healing.
